Matthew D. Gottlieb
Matthew D. Gottlieb focuses his practice on First Party Property Insurance Defense Litigation, including coverage and bad faith litigation. Mr. Gottlieb also assists insurers in all aspects of coverage disputes, including responses to civil remedy notices of insurer violations, coverage evaluations, and declaratory judgment actions. Mr. Gottlieb defends property insurers throughout Florida in first-party coverage matters, where many of the claims involve windstorms, mold, theft, and water losses.
Mr. Gottlieb also has experience in handling Personal Injury Protection litigation and complex tort litigation, specifically representing individuals being sued for professional malpractice such as architects, engineers, threshold inspectors, land surveyors, and attorneys.
Mr. Gottlieb received his Juris Doctorate Magna Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University in 2015 where he was a Goodwin Scholarship recipient; the Associate Executive Editor of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law; President and Advocate for the Jessup International Moot Court Team; Justice of Operations for the Moot Court Society; and member of the Nova Trial Association. Mr. Gottlieb received his Bachelors of Science from the honors program of Bentley University Cum Laude in 2012 where he was awarded the Highest Distinction Award for Business Management and a member of the varsity lacrosse team.
Mr. Gottlieb is a member of the The Florida Bar and is licensed to practice law before Florida state courts as well as the Southern District of Florida. He was raised in Boca Raton, Florida, where he currently resides with his wife.
